Social Media in Uproar Over #MayPac Match

#MayPac

#MayPac is on fire.

May 2 marked the what was dubbed the “fight of the century” between welterwight champions Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Floyd “Money” Mayweather. The world seemed to stand still for fans of both sportsmen and had them glued to their screens at home, in movie theaters, in public spaces, and more. In the end, Mayweather won the match by “a unanimous decision” from the judges by a score of 48-0.

While many cheered for the new reigning titleholder, more fans cried foul over Mayweather’s fighting tactics and strategy. Twitterverse and Tumblrverse had much to say about the outcome of the match.

Max Kellerman, the reporter who interviewed Manny Pacquiao after the fight, also came under fire because of questions that rubbed the audience the wrong way.

And then, the memes.

Cheer up, Manny. Fans all over the world agree, you’re still a true-blue winner.
