If you’d rather spend time playing games or watching films instead of being in the kitchen for hours, there’s an answer for you – Christmas dinner in a can.
An U.K.-based gamers website has listed a food item called the “Christmas Tinner,” which is a nine-course layered Christmas meal, in a can.
“The GAME Christmas Tinner is the ultimate innovation for gamers across the nation who can’t tear themselves away from their new consoles and games on Christmas Day,” said the description on the site.
Included in the nine layers, are: mince pies, scrambled eggs and bacon, turkey and potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, bread sauce, broccoli or Brussels sprouts, parsnips and roast carrots, and Christmas pudding (for dessert).
Created in 2013 by graphic designer Chris Godfrey, the fatuousness of it all had the internet convinced that the Xmas meal in a can was a hoax, though at least one YouTuber was able to show that the canned good is indeed authentic.
Steviejacko was able to buy a can at a GAME store “before they ran out,” and provided a full review on his YouTube channel.
