The Seattle Mariners traded tweets with the Seahawks on Friday, including a photo of Skittles littering the stadium at Safeco Field. The Mariners’ baseball stadium was used as overflow seating on Wednesday for the Seahawks’ Super Bowl victory parade and rally after the football stadium, CenturyLink Field, was filled to capacity.
The interaction began when the Mariners tweeted out a cleanup photo to the Seahawks, showing the colorful candies on the field.
.@Seahawks We’re still cleaning up from the party. #Celebrate48 pic.twitter.com/9udWq7AClN

Whoever runs the Seahawks’ account responded quickly offering to send over some help in the form of a vacuum, or even Marshawn Lynch himself.
@Mariners Sorry. Did you guys need help cleaning up? We could bring over a vacuum or @MoneyLynch. #BeastMode #Celebrate48 — Seattle Seahawks (@Seahawks) February 8, 2014
The Mariners took the response as a way to promote two veteran players who signed with the team in the offseason — Corey Hart and Robinson Cano.
@Seahawks It’s cool. We actually have a new cleanup crew this year. pic.twitter.com/SR6AbKVZCo

Naturally, the Hawks complimented their fellow Seattle sports team on the excellent setup.
@Mariners Ha! That was a helluva setup…

The Mariners have been very supportive of the Seahawks through their championship season. It’s likely that the Seahawks will return the favor and tweet out things about the MLB team in the NFL offseason.
