Rose Leslie (born February 9, 1987) is a Scottish actress. She’s notable for playing Gwen Dawson at Downton Abbey and Ygritte in Game of Thrones.

She began her career with a job at BBC Radio, where she was a narrator. Her big film debut was in 2009, at the age of 21. She has appeared in “New Town” and won the BAFTA Award for her outstanding talent in Scotland.
She started gaining a lot of roles after this success. Rose became “Bedlam”‘s lead actress, a play that took place at the Globe Theatre her breakout role was that of Gwen Dawson in the “Downton Abbey” period drama. That was the role that got people talking about her.
