The reverend Jesse Jackson likes to rally the troops when it comes to supporting his fellow African Americans. However, with the George Zimmerman verdict to be handed down in the Trayvon Martin case the Reverend is asking for full restraint.
In a tweet sent out on Friday Rev. Jackson writes:
If #Zimmerman is convicted there should not be inappropriate celebrations because a young man lost his life. #JusticeForTrayvon

Jackson doesn’t just ask that African Americans avoid celebrating, he also asks for restraint in the face of a not convicted verdict:
If #Zimmerman is not convicted, avoid violence because it only leads to more tragedies. Self-destruction is not the road to reconstruction

Police in major cities from New York to Los Angeles have been gearing up for any backlash that a not guilty or possibly even a guilty verdict may deliver.
Do you think the Reverend Jesse Jackson has made the right decision in asking for complete restraint regardless of the George Zimmerman verdict?
