Pharrell Williams’ Hat Gets Its Own Twitter Account

Pharrell Williams' Hat Parody

Pharrell Williams’ hat certainly made an impression at the Grammy Awards. The interesting, rather large, accessory prompted Arby’s to post the most retweeted tweet of the night, started a meme, and even spawned a Twitter account, in which the hat supposedly tweeted about the night, and made even comparisons to itself.

We’re fairly used to Twitter accounts spawned by silly things people do or wear, so it’s really not surprising to see @Pharrellhat pop up on the social network before the Grammys were even under way. The account already has more than 16,500 followers and even got mentions from Gain and On The Red Carpet. Here are a few of the mentions.

Other people also mentioned the hat, though without linking to the parody account.

Along with comparisons to Smokey the Bear and the US Forest Service, Pharrell Williams’ hat also got compared to the Hogwarts Sorting Hat, Woody from Toy Story, and Curious George’s The Man in the Yellow Hat.

Pharrell himself even responded to the fun, responding to Arby’s tweet, then posting the photo of himself as Woody.

What did you think of Pharrell Williams’ hat?
