New Twitter Layout Released For Everyone

New Twitter

Were you green with envy when you saw select Twitter users getting access to the new site design, while you sat around with the old layout? Did you feel like you were stuck in 2013? If so, you might want to go ahead and open your Twitter feed, because the new design has finally rolled out to all users.

The new layout, as we talked about when it was first revealed, looks more than a bit like Facebook by adding a large cover photo at the top and displaying content in a three different columns.

But why listen to me blab on about it? Simply go to your twitter account and it will ask you if you want to check out the new design. After that, it’ll ask if you want to keep it and if you do, then welcome to 2014 as Twitter sees it.

In addition to the three column set up and the header image, users can also pin tweets to the top of their page, so they can give new visitors an idea of what to expect inside. Scrolling down the feed will display tweets of different sizes and other events like when a new person was followed.

It should be noted that this doesn’t affect user’s news feed, only their profile. Twitter’s news feed remain unchanged.

If you want to know how to set up your profile so it looks super snazzy, we have a nice little guide for you, here.
