Momar enrolled in a sporting institute upon his arrival in the United States: Wesley Christian School in Kentucky. He spent four years on his high school’s basketball team before turning professional.
He was one of the top young basketball players in the country as a high school student. He was named #84 on ESPN’s Top 100, entering an elite group of the country’s top high school athletes.
Despite offers from the country’s top institutions (and their basketball teams), Momar chose to pursue a professional career. He signed his first contract with an Austrian team. As a result, he relocated from the United States to Europe in order to continue doing what he was best at.
