Molly Ringwald has joined the cast of Jem And The Holograms.
The Breakfast Club star’s career has slowed down in recent years but if you’re going to make a movie about an 80s cartoon… well, who better than Molly Ringwald. The actress is pretty much synonymous with 80s pop culture.
Ringwald shared a photo from the set recently on Twitter. The photo doesn’t reveal much about the movie but it does show her co-star Juliette Lewis.

It’s unclear who Molly Ringwald will play in the new movie. Aubrey Peeples will be playing Jem, Stefanie Scott will play Kimber, and Aurora Perrineau will play Shana. The Metro speculates that Ringwald could play Countess Danielle Du Voisin while Lewis may be getting ready to take on the role of Synergy.
Jem And The Holograms will be directed by Jon M. Chu.
