The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is going to replace your laptop. In fact, the tablet’s #Lapability score tested through the roof.

So… What is #Lapability?

Panos Panay, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Surface division, invented a new word today to describe the Surface Pro 3’s abilities. Lapability, as defined by Microsoft, means “the ability to get things comfortable done from your lap with the Microsoft #SurfacePro3.

Panay unveiled the new tablet today at an event in New York.

Panay said  “This is the tablet that can replace your laptop … Removing that barrier to technology is critical to making it great.”

Microsoft has been boasting about the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 all morning on Twitter. But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what the company has to say about its new tablet.

Microsoft is clearly a big fan of the new tablet and it looks like the product is being viewed favorably on Twitter as well. #SurfacePro3, “Panos Panay,” and #Lapability have been trending on Twitter since the product was unveiled.

Do you think the Surface Pro 3 can really replace a laptop? Has Microsoft really invented #Lapability?
