Famed former child actress Mara Wilson has said no to appearing in the sequel to the 20 year old hit “Mrs Doubtfire.”
The 1993 comedy hit started Robin Williams in the title role, and Sally Field and made $441 million at the box office off a budget of $25 million. Wilson appeared aa one of Williams’ characters kids.
Wilson took to Twitter to deny taking a role:
For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I.

I've been in some mediocre movies, but I've never been in a sequel. And I have no interest in being in one now.

Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end.

I'm glad I had the chance to be in it, and I'm proud of what we did, but I don't see how we could do it again.

There are many, many reasons I don't want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven't even asked me (yet), so no need to worry.

Along with featuring in Mrs Doubtfire, Wilson also played the lead role in Matilda. She is perhaps better known today for her social media presence, including a blog.
