Mack Brown announced his resignation as Texas head coach on Saturday, effective after the Alamo Bowl between the Longhorns and Oregon. Under brown’s guidance, the Longhorns posted nine consecutive double-digit win seasons from 2001 until 2009. He probably won’t get another head coaching opportunity, but he could end up as a studio analyst.
Brown released a statement about his resignation, which was uploaded to Twitter by ESPN writer Max Olson.

In 20+ yrs of CFB broadcasting I have found that being a great coach does not always equal being a person of great character. Mack Brown=YES
