Mack Brown Resigns As Texas Head Coach [Twitter Reacts]

Mack Brown Texas

Mack Brown announced his resignation as Texas head coach on Saturday, effective after the Alamo Bowl between the Longhorns and Oregon. Under brown’s guidance, the Longhorns posted nine consecutive double-digit win seasons from 2001 until 2009. He probably won’t get another head coaching opportunity, but he could end up as a studio analyst.

Brown released a statement about his resignation, which was uploaded to Twitter by ESPN writer Max Olson.

Other fans and, well, not fans, took to the social network to express their joy or regret that Brown is resigning.

No word yet on who might replace Mack Brown as head coach at Texas.
