She grew up with her elder brother, born to Puerto Rican parents in New York. She wanted to be a lawyer as a teenager, but fate changed her plans and she became a model. Following a nationwide search for a suitable model, she was chosen to appear in a campaign for Jennifer Lopez’s fashion line, “J-LO.”
