There’s really only one thing to do when your old co-host loses a tooth on air: giggle. That was Don Orsillo’s response when Jerry Remy lost a tooth during last night’s broadcast of the Chicago Cubs-Boston Red Sox game.
Remy and Orsillo were in the middle of calling the fourth inning of the game when all of sudden Remy lost a tooth. Or maybe a cap. We’re not exactly sure.
Remy and Orsillo debated what they should do with the tooth and Remy even tried to put it back in. Eventually they decided that Jerry Remy had “Summer Teeth.” Some are there and Some aint.
Here’s the video of Jerry Remy losing his tooth during the middle of a broadcast.
Now, I’m not saying that Remy lost his tooth on purpose but the NESN announces might have been looking for a distraction so that they could stop watching the Red Sox. The Chicago Cubs swept their Boston rivals. During the final game of the series, the Cubs scored 16 runs.
Cubs manager Rick Renteria said: “Today they came in with the idea of hopefully having a good day, playing good baseball. They’re happy about it and we’ll go into the off day feeling good.”
