If Melo Goes To The Heat, Twitter Will Stop Watching The NBA

You might finish the sentence by saying “I’ll quit watching the NBA,” or “I’ll know that hell has frozen over,” or “Miami would be playing at superhuman levels.”

The NBA is watching to see what Carmelo Anthony will do next season and one possibility is that he’ll join LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in Miami.

A report started circulating this morning that Heat were trying to persuade Carmelo to bring his talents to long beach next year. ESPN reports that in order to make that happen all three members of Miami’s “Big Three” would have to take salary cuts. That, of course, is something well within the realm of possibility. James wants to win another ring and if he doesn’t get one this year he might be willing to make a financial sacrifice in order to get Melo on his team.

Did I say financial sacrifice? James might have to take cut his NBA salary but the King makes plenty of money outside of his contract. According to ABC, James reportedly made about $30 million when Apple purchased Beatz earlier this year.

But we’re not worried about what the Miami Heat will have to do to get Carmelo Anthony. We’re more interested in what would happen If Melo go to the Heat…
