HBO GO is the cable network’s attempt at an available everywhere streaming app, and yesterday uploaded a series of hilarious commercials to YouTube.
Watchable back-to-back via the playlist above, the ads play on incredibly awkward moments using tagline “The best of HBO on all your devices, far far away from your parents.”
We’ve all been there. You’re on the couch with your mom or dad, maybe siblings, and it happens. The makeout session begins, and it quickly turns into that thing we never want to think about our parents doing.
With such shows as Game of Thrones and Girls starring Lena Dunham, there’s sure to never be a dull moment. HBO uploaded seven videos advertising its app, which combined have so far received nearly 1.3 million views.
Although the ads show off steamy sex scenes, they don’t spoil any episodes, so there’s nothing to worry about unless of course you’re at the office.
HBO GO is only available with a cable subscription to HBO, which makes it difficult for cord-cutters, and explains the alarmingly high piracy rates of its most popular shows.
Earlier this month, HBO uploaded the first episode of Silicon Valley created by Mike Judge to YouTube, and it’s since been renewed for a second season.
