Harrison Ford Returns, ‘Star Wars: Episode 7’ Resumes Filming

Han Solo is back. Harrison Ford has returned to the set at Pinewood Studios in the UK to resume shooting on Star Wars: Episode 7.

Ford was injured while filming the new Star Wars movie back in June. The actor reportedly broke his leg while filming a scene aboard the Millennium Falcon and was sidelined for several weeks. The actor was spotted walking without a limp earlier this month at the premiere of The Expendables 3 and he has now fully recovered and is ready to start filming again.

Variety reports that J.J. Abrams and the rest of the Star Wars: Episode 7 continued filming for a few weeks after Ford’s injury but they paused production for a few weeks in August. Now that Ford has fully recovered, shooting has restarted in the UK.

Disney said that the hiatus would not effect the movie’s release date which is currently set for December of 2015.

Exact plot details aren’t known at this time but rumor has it that the new movie will center on a search for Luke Skywalker. Han Solo, Princess Leia, and some of the other original cast members will aid in the search for the legendary Jedi master.

Are you excited for the new Star Wars movie? We haven’t seen any photos of Harrison Ford as Han Solo yet but we did get a sneak peak of the costume earlier this month. You can check out the photos here.
