Greg Hardy will NOT be playing this weekend in the NFL.
Hardy was convicted of domestic violence earlier this summer but he has yet to be punished by the Carolina Panthers or the NFL. The Panthers said that they were waiting to discipline Hardy until after the appeals process was over but that could change soon. The Panthers have not suspended Hardy yet but they did place him on the inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

The Panthers have not released a statement on Greg Hardy situation yet.
ESPN reports that Hardy was found guilty by a judge of assaulting and threatening his ex-girlfriend Nicole Holder. Hardy is currently appealing the conviction. Coach Ron Rivera said on Friday that he was letting the legal process play out before making any decisions about Hardy’s future.
Rivera said: “We are in a process and we’re letting the process play its way out … Because of that, we’re following through with the situation, set of circumstances. We’re not trying to do anything below board or way above board.” The defensive end was expected to play on Sunday but the Panthers changed their minds at the last minute. Of course, this isn’t much of a punishment. Hardy wasn’t suspended so he’ll still be collecting a nice paycheck for sitting on the bench.
