Now this is a trend I can get behind. Some generous individuals are turning Twitter into a cash grab. You may have already heard about the first one, @HiddenCash, who has been running an event it calls a social experiment by hiding envelopes full of cash, yes American greenbacks, around San Francisco and Los Angeles. Now, another account appears to be doing the same thing in the Washington D.C. area.
@iHidTheCash says that he (or she?) has been awarded “millions of dollars” but found that life with the money wasn’t as excited as anticipated. Inspired by the @HiddenCash philanthropists, @iHidTheCash is doing the same thing in the Washington D.C. area, and people are already following the clues and finding the cash.

Some have wondered openly if the entire event was just an elaborate hoax perpetrated by a local radio station. If that is the case, they have managed to drum up a significant amount of almost free publicity but the @iHidTheCash account has denied any involvement with said radio station.
Important note that the #ihidthecash $$ was found suspiciously close to a radio station who was talking about it yesterday @WNEW

Regardless of the potential involvement from the radio station, the envelopes full of cash have apparently been placed around the DMV (D.C. Maryland, Virginia) area.
Ok… I've hid cash all over the DMV… What part of town should I give clues for next? Go! #ihidthecash

And here are a few clues to get you started, incase you live in the area.
