Facebook is currently testing ads on third-party mobile apps, and according to new data from Kenshoo Social, ad impressions were up 51 percent in Q4 2013.

Between Q3 and Q4 2013, Kenshoo Social analyzed data from over 115 billion Facebook ads.

Clicks were up 66 percent from the third quarter, and click-through rates increased 10 percent. Cost of advertising on Facebook was also up due to more competition over the holiday shopping season.

Compared to Q3 2013, the cost-per-click (CPC) rose 21 percent, the CPM or cost-per-thousand impressions was up 33 percent and the overall spend increased 101 percent.

However, despite the increased costs, revenue was up 60 percent.
