If you are one of the gamers out there that actually gets out and does things, you have a new way to showcase your outdoor adventures to your couch occupying buddies.

The GoPro Channel will launch on Xbox 360 tomorrow, will be coming to Xbox One soon and will bring a mixture of corporate produced and user generated content directly to the consoles.

In a press release announcing the channel, GoPro Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman stated

“Our GoPro Channel app will make it easy for millions of global Xbox Live customers to watch GoPro originally-produced and “best of” user-generated content on their televisions at home. We’re excited to align ourselves with Microsoft and the Xbox brand as we believe our customers share the same desire to enjoy the type of immersive, experiential content that our cameras enable.”

Viewers who are intrigued by the footage can purchase one of the cameras right through Xbox Live. This is the first time that Microsoft has offered physical goods for sale through Xbox Live.

GoPro offers durable, cameras that are designed to create action shots. The wearable GoPro HERO line of products are used by consumers, professional athletes and professional video producers according to GoPro.

Xbox 360 already has YouTube when it comes to video social sharing. It will be interesting to see how a corporate sponsored video sharing app with a focus on action will succeed on Xbox Live.
