As Social News Daily reported yesterday, a WeThePeople petition urging the White House to reform the ECPA, also known as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, needed 100,000 signatures to call for changes to the dated and dangerous act … one that threatened to render the Fourth Amendment meaningless in an era of digital communication.

We’re pleased to report via Fight For The Future that the WeThePeople petition was successful — 102,385 Americans signed the plea seeking ECPA reform, which requires the White House to respond.
