Chicago Meteorologist Makes Fun Of Fellow Broadcasters Crazy Snow Predictions

Twitter Weather Battle

Chicago meteorologist Jerry Taft went on vacation just as his Chicago ABC owned station WLS and residents in the area were hit by a snowstorm.

Taft realized that crosstown rival Brant Miller predicted a lot more snow than the three to six inches of snow that was delivered. In response he tweeted out a screen shot of Miller’s broadcast in which he told Chicago viewers to prepare for a massive snowstorm.

That tweet led Charlotte, North Carolina NBC affiliate meteorologist Brad Panovich into the conversation.

Jerry Taft then decided to get one more jab into the mix:

So is there a deeper conflict between Taft and Miller? Not according to this tweet:

We have seen a lot of weird Twitter battles, but a meteorologist attack is just silly. It’s not bad enough that millions of people hate when their local forecasters are often wrong. Now we have meteorologists attacking one another over weather predications.
