It has not been a good week for travel in Chicago. A plane crashed at the Windy City’s Midway Airport last night and this morning a bus caught fire on Lake Shore Drive.
According to the CBS, a CTA buss caught fire this morning between North Avenue and Division Street on Lake Share Drive. A CTA official said that the driver pulled the vehicle to the side of the road at about 5:45 this morning after discovering that the bus had a flat tire. Shortly after, passengers reported smoke from the back of the bus.
The bus driver was able to evacuate all passengers before anyone was hurt.

The accident caused major delays for morning commuters. And to make matters worse, DNA Info reports that there was also a fire on the northside that caused more delays on the CTA.
Oh, and it’s also a brisk 14 degrees outside today. What a fun morning in Chicago.
