Buffer is a popular app for scheduling social media updates, and today introduced Google+ Page integration available now to both free, and paid users.
According to Co-Founder Leo Widrich, Google+ Page integration has been the most requested feature with over 3600 votes on its feedback forum, and commanding the number one spot for over two years.
To get started, login to your Buffer account, and you should be met with a popup that looks like this:
If you don’t see the popup, from the dashboard click “Connect More” on the left hand side below your connected accounts.
You should now see Google+, and an orange button that says “Connect a Page.” Click that, accept permissions, and in a matter of seconds you will be able to start scheduling updates to your Google+ Page.
Users who access the sharing service through a browser extension or apps like Feedly, will also see the ability to share to their Google+ Page once connected.
Image sharing is also integrated, allowing you easily share a new photo or attach a photo to your written post.
Below the “Connect a Page” button, Buffer does display a button for connecting your profile. However, because Google has not given the service access to the profiles API, that feature has yet to rollout.
