Roberts started his career as a theatre artist, working on both Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Lanford Wilson’s ‘Burn This’ was one of his first significant acting ventures (2002). Roberts co-starred on the stage alongside Edward Norton and Catherine Keener in the play about homosexual identities.
