A young couple perished only minutes after their wedding when a pickup truck and their car clashed as they were exiting the Justice of the Peace courtroom.
High school sweethearts Rhiannon Marie Morgan, 20, and her groom, Joe Morgan, 19, were departing a justice of the peace courtroom Monday afternoon in Orange County, Texas. Whilst they were pulling out of the driveway from the court, their vehicle and a pickup truck collided. They perished at the scene. The groom’s sister and mother were behind the item and saw the crash. “They had just gotten married,” stated Kennia Lashawna Morgan, the mother of the groom. “They haven’t even been married for five minutes. Those two babies. The only thing that they wanted was to get married and start their life. The two of them had so many dreams. I was here and I watched it happen.”
The pair pulled out from the private Justice of the Peace drive onto Highway 87. The operator of an oncoming Ford pickup truck rammed into their vehicle. “I watched my baby die,” added Morgan. “I’m still wearing my son’s blood because I was trying my best to rip him and her out of the car. I witnessed my own worst nightmare. That’s an image that will haunt me the rest of my life. I won’t forget it. It will never go away. I will see that truck hit my baby and kill my baby every night of my life, the rest of the time that I’m on earth.” Morgan furthered: “Go home and hug your family tonight. Even if you’re mad, hug your family. Love your family. Even if they’ve made you mad, make amends. Don’t go to bed angry because you don’t know. You don’t know how fast you can lose that person.”
