A woman, who beat down her boyfriend with his own prosthetic leg because he attempted to break up with her, was arrested on Wednesday.

Michelle Jackson, 58, a few months back was drinking with her now ex-boyfriend when he informed her he desired to see someone else. The man fell asleep without incident though awoke the following morning with a large cut on his head that was dripping blood and an injured hand.
Jackson, who had departed the residence before law enforcement arrived, supposedly told a family member that she had beat the man with his own prosthetic leg and thought she had slayed him. The woman purportedly told authorities that she had stabbed him, but Capt. Jason Rivarde of the New Orleans police department stated no evidence matched her claim. U.S. Marshals apprehended Jackson on Wednesday in her home, local news in New Orleans reported. Police booked her into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on a charge of aggravated battery without bond, said the report.
Roughly 75 percent of amputations are caused by cardiovascular complication and diabetes. The most ordinary form of amputation is a below-knee amputation. Majority of prosthetics are built with lightweight carbon fiber, titanium and aluminum components. Prosthetic lasts three to five years on average. Every prosthetic is custom-made to each patient individually, taking numerous factors into consideration, such as age, weight, health and lifestyle. Bulk of amputees don a stump shrinker, which is a compaction sock that stops the limb from inflammation when the prosthesis is off of their limb.
