Tumblr has rolled out real-time notifications for user dashboards. The new feature (pictured above) showcases the activity happening in relationship to a users Tumblr page and the people they follow.
In an official Tumblr post the company proclaimed:
Check this out! We’re testing real-time notifications from people you follow.
You should start to see them in the next few hours (and can toggle them on your Settings page).

The demo currently showcases the users posts with people they follow, however once live it will become more integrated.
You can toggle the option from your Tumblr Dashboard settings.
Engagement might increase thanks to the new system, however examining every interaction by every person you follow might get tiring after a short period of time.
