Facebook is currently in the process of developing a photo-sharing app. According to tech site TechCrunch they have obtained 50MB of images and other documents that outline how the app will work.
According to the site:
“…The best way to think about it appears to be Path meets Instagram meets Color meets (Path’s new side project) With — with a few cool twists.”
Facebook is believed to have the largest collection of photos on the web (based on their own data) and with Twitter attempting to steal some of their thunder with a photo sharing and hosting service of their own in partnership with Photobucket it appears that now would be a great time for the company to offer a more robust system for their users.
Facebook has yet to comment on the authenticity of the photo sharing application.
