In almost every country in the world, authorities are generally distrusted and regarded as daylight robbers. Hence, “Robin Hood’s” are well-loved by people. Stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor is quite noble, people love underdogs. One man from Hongkong known as a Bitcoin God, tried to be a Robin Hood and ended up getting arrested.

Wong Ching-kit, is a local entrepreneur from Hongkong who owns a Facebook page called Epoch Cryptocurrency. He actually has several titles, such as “Coin Young Master,” and a Robin Hood who steals from the rich and gives it to the poor. Often, though, he goes by Bitcoin God, claiming that he was able to earn over eight figures from a starting capital of $38,360.

Still, Wong’s peers apparently consider him as a scammer, but that did not discourage the Bitcoin God. Back in Friday, he drove over in his Lamborghini to Sham Shui Po district– a poor neighboorhood in Hongkong where he gave a speech before raining down countless 100 Hongkong dollar (HKD) bills which is equivalent to $12.79 per bill. Here’s the video:

Naturally, this caused a commotion and people scrambled for the bills which was rained down from a tall condominium’s rooftop. For that, Bitcoin God was arrested for “disorderly conduct in a public place.” The police were able to recover an amount worth 6,000 HKD (around $765), not counting the bills which the people took.

Wong was released on Tuesday after posting bail. Apart from the poor district stunt he did recently, Bitcoin God has apparently donated thousands of dollars to restaurants which give free meal boxes to the poor, earning him the title of local Robin Hood. What’s your take on Wong’s exploits though? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
