Here’s Why Owners Should Stop Forcing Their Cats To Go Vegan

There’s a lot that humans do not understand or fathom regarding nature’s intended designs and how defying that can be catastrophic. Last time we all did that en masse, global warming happened. Now, we have yet again, human beings trying to defy nature for the sake of being “woke.” This time, they are extending their ignorance to cats, by forcing them to go vegan.

Brilliant, right? Nothing could go wrong with that, except for the fact that cats are naturally carnivorous and have thrived on a meat diet ever since they first walked the Earth. Hence, UK’s very own Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is poised to criminally charge any irresponsible cat owner who tries to drag their cats into going woke by making them go vegan.

“Under the Animal Welfare Act, the law requires an owner to take reasonable steps to ensure that all the pet’s needs are met. This includes a healthy diet, as well as providing suitable living conditions, ability to behave normally, appropriate company and protection from pain, suffering, injury, and disease,” according to an RSPCA spokesperson.

That means carnivorous pets are to be fed meat. In fact, prolonged vegetable-only or plant-based diets for cats can prove to be dangerous for their health and will make them seriously ill. Those discount tigers are simply not built for digesting plants, guys.

Problem is, even pet food stores are contributing to the issue, around 1 in 6 of all of them in the UK (probably to some degree in the US too) are actually selling meat alternative or vegan cat food, cashing in on vegan or vegetarian owners who want to extend their “ethical diets” to their pets.

“Feeding an inappropriate or incomplete diet that doesn’t provide the animal with the nutrients its need is a welfare issue – no matter what diet it is,” argues Marge Chandler, a clinical nutritionist. So there you have it, meanwhile, dogs are actually omnivorous, meaning you could theoretically make them go vegan without much repercussion. Dogs rule.
