So many Facebook updates. So many tweets. So many check-ins… Keeping up with your social media life can be an exhausting endeavor. But who wants to drink coffee or shoot a 5-Hour-Energy. I don’t know about you, but I only consume products that are associated with my favorite social media platforms.

Luckily for me, I can now drink Facedrink, a “sophisticated beverage which provides the social energy that people need to get things done on a daily basis.”

Facedrink is a 2.5 ounce energy drink that combines tropical taste with long-lasting energy. I can’t imagine that it’s any different than a 5-Hour Energy, but Facedrink does stand out because of its marketing. Facedrink is being marketed solely toward social media users, promising Facebook over-users to give them “social energy.”


Facedrink Co-Owner Barry Moustapha said:

“I want facedrink to be a beverage that provides the social energy that people need to get things done on a daily basis. With the right combination of taste and energy effectiveness, facedrink has achieved the goal that I set for this energy drink.”

Facedrink is free of sugar, carbohydrates, and only has three calories. It contains taurine and caffeine for that pick-me-up feeling.

Facedrink’s Facebook page launched in May and it’s slowly been gathering fans. So is Facedrink destined to be the drink of choice for nerds around the globe? I doubt it. On Facedrink’s website Moustapha says that the reason he created Facedrink was because, why not? It seems to be like you might need a little bit more passion to sell a successful product.
