For the last several years infographics have been a major part of the news reporting landscape. Open up a major tech, health, business or other information based property and you are likely to find more than a handful of infographics on each website.
The team at Nowsourcing, a social-media marketing company, decided to examine why infographics are so popular and the answer was largely social media based.
The study found that infographics are most commonly used to explain areas of business, technology, social media, the economy and health.
Take a look at the infographic below and you will notice that compared to standard posts, infographics receive more likes across the board for Twitter, LinkedIn, and StumbleUpon among other social networks.
