Facebook Popularity Tied To Photo Sharing, Study Finds

Including photos in your Facebook posts can make you more popular on the world’s largest social network. Marketing site Wishpond examined Facebook engagement and found that photos are the type of attention-grabber social network users are looking to view.

The study found that an image post receives 84 percent more clicks than text and link updates. Photo posts also generate 53 percent more likes.

Social photo sharing has become so popular that Facebook purchased Instagram has grown by 1,179 percent in the last six months.

The group also found that photo posts attract 104 percent more comments than average non-photo posts.
