Kanye West has been in the media for all the wrong reasons as of lately, leaving many questioning his sanity. Then when he reaffirmed his support for President Trump several days ago, people started wondering if maybe Trump has the rapper on his payroll. Both scenarios would make perfect sense, as it wouldn’t be the first time West has suffered mental health issues and we all know he’s been buddying up with Trump since his presidential campaign. So, let’s take a look at the evidence.
Kanye Admitted To Getting Liposuction
It seems that West’s infamous stint in the hospital was due to an issue with opioids, which he claims he was prescribed after having plastic surgery. The rapper admitted to getting liposuction, which is an odd decision considering his mother passed due to complications after her plastic surgery in 2007. When he spoke about the subject, he said, “I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. Didn’t want y’all to call me fat, so I got liposuction. And they gave me opioids.” He seemed to have gotten hooked on the pills, facing some addiction issues which when combined with several stressful events, sent him on a downward spiral that landed him in the hospital. West claims he’s off the pills now though and doesn’t seem to hold any ill will toward the plastic surgery industry. This one seems to demonstrate proof that he’s gone a bit bonkers.
Kanye Thinks Slavery Was A Choice
Likely you’ve already heard about this one, as West recently caused a ruckus in TMZ offices during an interview where he decided to let people know that he thinks slavery was a choice. The only reason he offers for his opinion is the fact that slavery lasted for 400 years. His exact quote was, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years, that sounds like a choice.” Ummm, what? Bonkers!
Kanye Thinks He’s Best Friends With Obama
West remembers Obama coming to ask him and his mother for their support when he was thinking about running for president, and apparently, that makes them best friends. It seems that former president Barack Obama considers West his favorite rapper, which West bragged about in a way that’s not at all delusional. “I am his favorite artist of all time. Because I am the greatest artist of all time. It only makes sense — he’s got good taste.” West seems to still be salty about a video that was released where we could hear Obama calling West a jackass, but West understands that no one’s perfect. He’s doesn’t understand, however, why Kendrick Lamar and JayZ got invited to the White House, and he didn’t, but he’s convinced they’ll be hanging out again soon enough. I’m sure that’s all Obama thinks about these days. Too bad West is too bonkers to get anywhere near the former president.
Kanye Uses Nontraditional Forms Of Therapy
While it’s no secret that West has had some mental health issues in the past, his way of maintaining his self-proclaimed level head is far from the traditional forms of therapy. He explained, “I use the world as my therapy — as my therapist.” While he doesn’t elaborate, it’s not hard to imagine him up on a mountaintop meditating in sweatpants and a pair of Yeezys. Apparently, he prefers to talk to his friends and family rather than a therapist, because the Kardashians all have a straight head on their shoulders to give him the perspective he needs. It was probably their genius idea for him to get liposuction in the first place. This is pretty bonkers.
Kanye Is Dragon Energy
While “dragon energy” is hardly a known term, what irks me most about this is that West claims he and Trump ARE dragon energy rather than they HAVE dragon energy. West recently tweeted this new adjective while also proclaiming his support for the president. His tweet read, “You don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.” Of course, he has the right to independent thoughts, but your brother? Really? Come on! How can you be best friends with Obama and support Trump at the same time? On top of his dragon energy comment (which doesn’t seem to be receiving the same attention as Charlie Sheen’s “Tiger Blood”), West also shared a photo of him wearing a red Making America Great Again hat, making this move suspiciously resemble an advertisement.
Kanye Gives Trump’s Approval Ratings A Boost
According to Trump, his approval rating has doubled since West tweeted his support for the president to his followers. Trump recently made the statement, “Kanye West must have some power because you probably saw, I doubled my African-American poll numbers.” Even though the numbers he gave were later disputed, there’s no doubt that West’s return to Twitter has improved Trump’s ratings. By voicing his support for the president he has lost quite a few followers on social media, and likely quite a few fans as well, but he has probably gained a hefty paycheck or two. This is starting to seem more and more like West is being paid off.
Kanye Proves He Doesn’t Know Who Harriet Tubman Is
After revealing in a TMZ interview that he thinks slavery was a choice, West dug himself deeper into his hole of ignorance on Twitter. Not only did the rapper not take back his absurd comment, but he tried to prove his statement further by comparing himself to Harriet Tubman and then posting a made up quote. His first tweet read, “If this was 148 years ago I would have been more like Harriet or Nat,” which I’ve yet to make sense of. West then tweeted a supposed quote from Tubman which read, “I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.” While this quote fits well (sort of) with his statement about slavery being a choice, Harriet Tubman never said this. This could mean he’s bonkers or he’s on Trump’s payroll because we all know how the president loves to make things up.
What do you think, is Kanye spiraling or is Trump paying him off?
