Trump’s New Anti-Drug Policy Sees Death Sentence for Traffickers

Well THAT escalated quickly. While it should be said we are having an opioid crisis in this country, and the drug is killing too many people, we have to figure out a way to deal with it that addresses it and fixes it. That is  problem right now. There is NO argument from any side about that fact. But president Trump’s new anti-drug stance seems to be a tad bit extreme. While drug peddlers and traffickers should be dealt with, his logic that they should be put to death (no, not kidding )is so far beyond rational thought I cannot comprehend it.

Just seems very extreme. He doesn’t seem to understand the problem, and the source of the problem is poor people and minorities being forced into ghettos and treated like third class citizens who then find the need to run from their problems, but in the process they only perpetuate those problems by using THOSE drugs. People need to EDUCATED about this problem and offered help. Killing drug traffickers to send a message only sends the message that you are a brute of a man who cannot use deductive logic to solve problems and you think bombs and guns and death are the answer to everything. That is both sad and pathetic at once:

The president told the audience at a Pennsylvania campaign rally this month that countries like Singapore have fewer issues with drug addiction because they harshly punish their dealers. He argued that a person in the U.S. can get the death penalty or life in prison for shooting one person, but that a drug dealer who potentially kills thousands can spend little or no time in jail.

Now as long as you realize Singapore is where you get the layers skin slashed off your back with canes of bamboo for spitting gum in the street and swearing, you realize where this man wants to take us. Totalitarianism, with him at the wheel.

Maybe you’re right, Donald, maybe a death would solve our problems. Here, have some opioids and do us all a favor. Solve our BIGGEST problem right now, for you are that problem.
