Trump’s Depressing New Gun Policy: Ignore the Problem Until It Goes Away

Many people had hoped guns laws (at least assault weapons laws) would be addressed or updated in the wake of the Florida shooting, but the sad reality has made itself painfully clear over the last few weeks. Trump is a man trying desperately to please all sides and is failing miserable at pleasing anyone or even truly addressing this issue in anything other than simple sound bytes and single sentences.

Like a caveman, grunting to make a point.

When talking about making some changes to the gun laws and accessibility, especially among children, Trump Said:

“You can buy a handgun — you can’t buy one; you have to wait until you’re 21. But you can buy the kind of weapon used in the school shooting at 18. I think it’s something you have to think about.”

So what he just did there was tell US something to think about regarding gun laws and all but admitting he has no plan of action to address, fix, or even change it. He later made this worse by reiterating on Twitter the fact that HE is doing nothing, while condemning others for trying to do something:

Can we all just admit this is some kind of public prank and can we bring the REAL president out now, because none of this can be real.

His buffoonery knows no boundaries. We just want the man to help fix this world and he is only breaking it more and more every time he speaks or acts (or in THIS case, by not doing anything at all).
