Earlier today several sources reported that Prince was found dead at his house in Minnesota, the cause of the pop star’s death has not been released. Though Millennials are mostly too young to remember when Prince was a sensation, a lot of people are mourning him. He rose to fame in the late 70s with songs like “When Doves Cry”, and “Little Red Corvette”.

His song “Kiss” was released as a single in 1986 and people still can’t help but dance when that guitar riff hits. Talk about falsetto, the man had pipes. His hit album “1999” came out in 1982 and the eighties were really when Prince was on top of the world, a lot of people still say him and Michael Jackson were the pop idols of the decade.

The internet is noticeably upset about the death. Tumblr is definitely going to be weeping for a few hours.

Prince was famous for not liking the digital music revolution. At one point he stated “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes”. And even though when artists do that it makes us a bit peeved, we still all secretly love it because if feels like they’re fighting at the man.

Prince was featured in an episode of Zooey Deschanel’s show “New Girl” only a few years before his death.

2016 has been a pretty rough year for music already, we’ve lost Bowie and Prince, two music icons. Let’s hope that the fates don’t take any more of our stars.
