James Cameron just made headlines by announcing that he is going to make four sequels to Avatar. The film, which was released in 2009 sold over 97 million tickets and ranks 15th on the list of most sales. It also grossed 760.5 million dollars in theatres, so yeah, it was success. Immediately, Cameron announced that there were going to be sequels.

According to Mashable, the first sequel will be released on Christmas of 2018 then more on Christmas 2020 and 2022 and the final Avatar film will debut at the end of 2023. The announcement was made today at CinemaCon, which is a spin-off of ComicCon.

But a lot of people are feeling a bit apathetic about the upcoming sequels. And as great as Avatar was, we’re all very familiar with Stockholm Syndrome and some critics just branded the film “Dances With Blue Wolves”.

James Cameron made headlines a few years ago when he took a submarine into the Mariana Trench, which is the deepest part of the ocean.

A lot of people are doubting that Cameron will be able to pull off the feat.

I suppose only time will tell if we’ll see more blue men on the silver screen.
