Damn BBC news app and its notification of breaking news! I don’t normally say this, but a few minutes ago, a glance at my phone showed me “David Bowie passed away…”
To my chagrin, a quick search of authoritative news sites confirmed that it is not a hoax.
His son has also confirmed his father’s death on Twitter.
Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all. pic.twitter.com/Kh2fq3tf9m

David Bowie’s official Facebook page has the same announcement.
And just as quickly, tributes to the legend is flooding Twitter. He has touched many lives with his music, as you can see below with the touching messages.

This is so heartbreaking, especially for those who grew up listening to his songs. While we all this time will come for all of us, it’s still a shock, isn’t it? You just never know…
If you were to see him face to face for a fleeting moment, what would you say to David Bowie?
