Metal Baby, or BabyMetal? Cast Your Vote!

Heavy metal music is often seen as born from the very bowels of hell, wallowing for endless hours in the murky pits of ancient despair and other dark forces. It’s the music you turn to when you want your soul to scream bloody murder and rail at the world as you wage war for your eternal soul in the darkest corners of your mind.

So I guess it makes perfect sense that kids and heavy metal work so well together, right?

Let’s take a look at the first of our two cute contenders for the day:

Kye Parry’s little boy loves metal, and we mean it. The video below shows the sweet-faced toddler pleading with his dad: “M-metal?” Dad asks, and his son responds with a soft, innocent “Yes”. The rest is history.

See that giggly bundle of bouncy joy? Pure metal right there.

On the other hand, we have this metal idol trio from Japan named BabyMetal. This band fuses heavy metal and pop idol music, and is composed of lead vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto (“Su-metal”), Yui Mizuno (“Yuimetal”), and Moa Kikuchi (“Moametal”) for screams and dance. These petticoated, beribboned, and cuirassed darlings have rocked the world with their international tours, starting with Paris, Cologne, and Hollywood, and debuted their first album in November 2014, and is clearly showing no signs of stopping. they’ve also opened for five concerts for Lady Gaga on her tour Artrave: The Artpop Ball, charming and bowling over Mother Monster’s fans. We’ve a feeling this trio is going to go places.

So, which one will it be, dear readers: Metal Baby’s thrashingly adorable dance of doom, or the heavy kawaii-metal stylistics of BabyMetal? Cast your vote below! Let us know if you’re #TeamMetalBaby or #TeamBabyMetal with a tweet and tag us @SocialNewsDaily!
