We Can Finally Upgrade That Old Selfie Stick…

Selfie Arm

Back in April, we told you about an artist’s social statement on the selfie stick. Remember the selfie arm? The creative selfie tool is a collaboration of artists, Justin Crowe and Aric Snee.

According to the artists, the “collaborative project is a direct commentary on the growing selfie stick phenomenon, and the constant, gnawing need for narcissistic internet validation.” The fiberglass arm was created with a snug fitting for your smartphone and was the answer to the fact that “nobody wants to look alone while they mindlessly snap pictures of themselves — the product conveniently provides you a welcoming arm. and better yet, it doesn’t talk or have emotions of any sort. you can even create fake accounts and use its finger to like all your images; its not you its the hand!”

Lightweight and portable, we held out our money for our very own selfie arm. At the time, the artists explained it was just a prototype, it wouldn’t be available for the public to buy. Well, our prayers have been answered.

Well, sorta.

The artists are offering up 10 autographed selfie sticks at the hefty price tag of $6,200. Guess they aren’t starving artists…

So, if you have extra money laying around and you buy one, let us know. You know, so we can borrow it…
