Part of being a celebrity is the amusement they give us through trending clips – planned or not, video collaborations or solo. It’s always daunting when an attempt for greatness fails, but we’re not talking about those; Social News Daily rounds up some clips from Tinseltown that made it to viral status!
1. LADY GAGA’S SOUND OF MUSIC TRIBUTE
Looks like Lady Gaga isn’t so gaga about being avant-garde anymore! Recent actions have shown that she heading to ‘class territory:’ a duets album with Tony Bennett, engagement to Taylor Kinney, and now, this stunning 50th anniversary tribute to the Julie Andrews-starrer at the 2015 Oscars.
“Dear Lady Gaga, thank you for that wonderful tribute. Oh my God. It really warmed my heart, it really did. It’s hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that glorious film was released. I blinked and suddenly here I am.
2. MADONNA FELL OFF STAGE AT THE BRITS 2015
Living for love? How about love and passion for performing? Madonna proved just that during the recent Brit Awards, where she tumbled down a flight of stairs when a dancer tried to remove her cape.
The 56-year-old pop diva continued singing, however, and just shrugged it off by saying the cape was “tied too tight.”
“Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up. Thanks for your good wishes!” she posts on Instagram.
3. CHRISTINA AGUILERA MADE A GOOD BRITNEY IMPRESSION
Jimmy Fallon never runs out of gimmicks on his Tonight Show, and he managed to set the Interwebs abuzz again when Christina Aguilera played on the “Wheel of Musical Impressions” segment.
Long story short, the The Voice judge sang some random tunes in the style of Cher, Shakira, and Britney Spears. It was during “This Little Piggy” where she summoned her innermost Brit, and hit the hilarity ball home! Never knew this “Genie in a Bottle” was a funny gal herself.
4. KANYE WEST DISAPPROVES OF BECK’S GRAMMY WIN
The damage has been done, however, because Mr. West’s blunt rejection of Beck’s ‘Album of the Year’ win during the recent Grammys became the talk of the town. He even said, “Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should have given his award to Beyonce,” when in fact, he hasn’t heard the album in full!
Madness aside, everything’s okay now. Or at least we hope it is.
Update: Kanye has already apologized on Twitter – “I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.”
