‘Lego Movie’ Director Philip Lord Builds Lego Oscar Statue After Snub

Who needs to win an Academy Award when you can build one yourself? If you haven’t heard about the latest cinematic travesty, The Lego Movie was not nominated at the Oscars this year. But don’t worry, director Phillip Lord doesn’t seem to broken up about the snub.

Lord took to Twitter this morning to post a nice tongue-in-cheek response to the Academy’s snub.

Still, Twitter users were pretty angry. Fans of The Lego Movie have been voicing their anger ever since the nominations were announced last night.

Lord tried to calm his fans down and told them that the snub wasn’t exactly a travesty. He also took a moment to congratulate the cast and crew that worked on The Lego Movie.
