Love And Hip Hop: Hollywood star Yung Berg was arrested this week at a hotel in New York City.
Berg, 30, was arrested at about 2:15 am after authorities received a 911 call reporting an assault at the Gershwin Hotel. Berg was having an argument with his girlfriend when the dispute reportedly turned violent. The 30-year-old singer allegedly choked and punched his 29-year-old girlfriend.
TMZ reports: “(Yung Berg) allegedly grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the floor, dragged her by her hair and hit her in the face.”
He was arrested for assault and charged with “obstruction of breathing.”
The victim was taken to the hospital after the altercation. Police have not identified the woman involved in the yet but many believe that it was his co-star Masika Kalysha.
Before his arrest, Berg posted this photo on himself with Masika on his Instagram account with the caption “BAE.”
Berg is still in police custody. VH1 has not issued a statement regarding the Love And Hip Hop star’s arrest. The reported victim, Masika Kalysha, has also been quiet about the situation.
