The first trailer for Ridley Scott’s biblical epic Exodus: Gods And Kings, is, well, epic.
We’ve already seen a teaser or two for Scott’s new film but this is the first good look we’ve gotten of Moses (Christian Bale) as he tries to lead 600,000 slaves out of Egypt.
The new trailer gives a glimpse into Moses relationship with the Pharaoh of Egypt, but come on, this is story that most people know. What we really want to see is the special effects. And the trailer for Exodus: Gods And Kings delivers. We see a few plagues (including raining frogs), an army chasing after a tornado, and a brief look at the climactic parting of the red sea.
Bale says: “There is a sea ahead and an army behind… Follow me and you will be free.”

What do you think of Ridley Scott’s new movie? Are you going to see Exodus: Gods And Kings?
The new movie has stirred up some controversy in recent days and at least one writer is asking people not to see the film. Why? Well, the movie has been dubbed as racist by several people. According to Medium, white actors like Christian Bale, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley, and Sigourney Weaver were cast in the main roles while black actors were cast as criminals and thieves.
David Dennis Jr. writes: “Not only are all the main characters White, but the servants, thieves and assassins are played by Africans. Guys. This is racist. Ridley Scott is one of those guys who’s apparently hellbent on historical accuracy but doesn’t care enough to cast a person of color as Moses or a goddamn African queen while simultaneously filling out the rest of the movie with Black servants and thieves.”
Exodus: Gods And Kings hits theaters this December. Will you be in the audience?
