NCTC Bus Crash: Softball Players Mourned On Twitter

It’s a sad day in Texas. Four members of the North Central Texas College softball team were killed in a car accident on Interstate 35 in Oklahoma.

According to NBC, the team was traveling by bus on Friday night when a tractor trailer crossed over the median and hit their vehicle. Three young women died at the scene of the crash. A fourth died a short time later at the hospital.

NCTC said that it would hold a press conference later today. The school has not identified the students killed in the crash but according to sports reporter Jason Della Rosa they were Jaiden Pelton, Katelynn Woodlee, Meagan Richardson and Brooke Deckard.

Coaches, fans, parents and friends have taken to Twitter this morning to express their sadness about last night’s tragic crash.
