Will Twitter be able to get justice for AvaLynn? A photo of the little girl has been circulating around the internet and it isn’t a pretty picture.
AvaLynn’s mother, Lacy Harris, says that her daughter was severely beaten while playing on the playground at her school in Mississippi. School officials, however, say that no other students were involved in the incident.
The school issued a statement to GulfLive.com: “A student was injured while playing on the playground at Arlington Elementary School Tuesday afternoon. School officials responded to the situation. The parent was contacted and the student received medical treatment. No other children were involved in the incident. The Pascagoula School District remains committed to the safety of all its students.”
so no adult heard her scream or saw the “accident” happen, they certainly should not be in charge of watching kids #justiceforavalynn

But these injuries don’t look like a an accident. It appears that AvaLynn was hit multiple times by someone. The little girl reportedly told her mother that she was kicked in the face by another student because she wouldn’t get off the slide on the school’s playground. Lacey Harris told this story to police officers but without an adult witness it doesn’t look like anything will happen.

Pascagoula Police Department Lt. Jim Roe said: “The mother alleges another child kicked her child on the slide. Right now, there’s no indication something criminal took place. I have spoken with school security and an assistant superintendent is investigating the matter.”
A Facebook page was started to get justice for AvaLynn and the cause has gone viral. The hashtag #JusticeForAvalynn has been trending all morning and the GoFundMe Page has raised more than $3000 in just a few short hours.

It’s a sad world we live in when innocent children are the victims. #JusticeForAvaLynn

Do you think Avalynn could have suffered those injuries by falling on her own? Do you believe the child’s story? Let’s hope that Lacey Harris can get justice for her daughter AvaLynn.
