Paul George Injury: NBA Players React On Twitter

Paul George suffered a traumatic injury on Friday night during a Team USA scrimmage which could sideline him for all of next season.

CBS Sports reports that George underwent surgery last night to repair a compound fracture. The surgery was successful but the Pacers are doubtful that he’ll recover in time to play next season. A video of the injury is available below. It’s pretty gruesome. Some people may want to skip it.

George, who averaged 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists last season for Indiana, was taken off the court on a stretcher. The rest of Team USA was a little shaken up about the injury and Coach K. called the scrimmage off.

Paul George was a premiere player in the NBA and one of the reasons why the Pacers were considered contenders in the East. He’s absence next year will have a huge impact across the league. Several NBA players took to Twitter last night to comment on the Paul George injury.

Paul George also took to Twitter to thank all of his fans for their support.
